Out of our shared belief in people, social good and hustling to make your dreams come true, we introduce Priscilla, the founder of Cocokind, a skincare brand made in San Francisco by strong women, for strong women. This year, she founded The Cocokind Foundation, a program that provides financial grants ot female entrepreneurs in health, wellness, and sustainability industries who are focuses on creating social impact through business. We invited Priscilla over to capture her power outfits and talked about her daily routine and what she's learning through her business.
What’s your daily ritual?
I usually wake up around 7:30AM, do my basic skincare routine (cleanse, tone, moisturize), and then go straight to the kitchen to have 1-2 huge glasses of water. After that, I'll make my cacao elixir morning drink, which includes this beautiful blend of superfoods from Methodology's Morning's Mastered coffee substitute, adaptogens, and MCT oil. I'll take a few minutes drinking that before heading out the door! I usually drive to work and use that 25 minutes in the car to listen to music and center myself before starting my work day.
What’s one thing you’re currently learning thru your business?
I'm learning to slow down a bit. I'm very decision and action-oriented. I like to make quick decisions based on gut. However, over time, I've definitely learned that there are some decisions that require more time, more thoroughness. I'm currently learning how to figure out which decisions I can make quickly based on my gut, and which decisions I need to force myself to slow down on.
What’s your go-to favorite Fall outfit?
I love a good blazer and some high waisted jeans. The GRLFRND Karolina 100% cotton jeans that I recently picked up at Seldom Seen are my current go-to. I pair these jeans with comfortable, clean looking sweaters or blazers, and my Reebok classics.
What are you most excited about for holiday?
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. I love clean cooking with all the amazing spices and seasonal fruits and veggies. Going back to Michigan (where I'm from) during this holiday is always my favorite trip of the year. On a side note, I love dressing for cold weather! I have an obsession with coats and booties, I dress them up and down in different ways.
