Sunday 8/20 | 12-6pm: Watercolor Demo and Art Supply Store Pop-Up with Alexis from Case For Making

Kicking off our Customer Appreciation Week is a pop-up with Case for Making, a specialty art store that sits deep in the Outer Sunset. In addition to curating a collection of art supply basics and raw materials, shop owner, Alexis Joseph develops her own line of unique, homemade, water paints. Her store mission "is to recognize the presence of creative inquiry in multiple forms, and to provide space for engaging in and valuing this work."

On Sunday, August 20th, Alexis will be bringing her range of water colors and other specially curated art supplies to Hayes Valley. If you're looking to tap that creative well inside of you or looking for a gift for that artistic someone in your life, then this would be the event for you. Stop by Seldom Seen anytime between the hours of 12-6 and meet Alexis!

Wednesday 8/23 | 6-8pm: Happy Hour with Nina Grae

Nina Grae, a Berkeley born native, recording artist and model, uses songwriting and singing to honor Love in all of it’s forms. With a background in marketing and a passion for philosophy, Nina is constantly seeking new approaches to old problems and exploring different ways to deliver heart-felt messages through music that unite people and illuminate our shared humanity + Oneness.

Since moving away form the corporate space in 2011, Nina has been the lead singer/songwriter of three EP collaborations (Knight + Grae, West Coast Wildfire, Indigo Keys) and has since finished her first full-length solo album, The Remedy, which can be found exclusively on her website, Ninagrae.com.

On Wednesday 8/23 Nina will be blessing our store with her beautiful voice. Join us for refreshments and a rare intimate performance at Seldom Seen. Please make sure to arrive promptly by 7pm so you don't miss a thing.

Saturday 8/26 | 11-7pm : Westward \ Leaning Sunglasses Pop-up

Westward Leaning is a San Francisco based design company, specializing in luxury eyewear. One of our favorite days in the shop is when, Mark, our Westward Leaning sales rep, brings in their entire assortment of sunglass styles and colors for us to browse through. One of the saddest days is when we have to narrow down our selection to just what we'll carry in store. They have such a wide range of fun and unique designs, using a varied range of materials and colors, that are both eclectic and easy to wear, that it's heartbreaking at times to have to choose one over another. It's easy to fall in love.

Although we can't carry every style everyday, we thought it would be fun to have a special one day pop-up with Westward Leaning so you could try on all their unisex frames. Stop in on Saturday 8/26 for an afternoon of champagne and sunnies and pick out the perfect pair for you.

Sunday 8/27 | 1-5pm : Jewelry Pop-Up and Meet Up with Emi Grannis

To close out our 2nd Annual Customer Appreciation Week, we are hosting Emi Grannis, a SF-based metalsmith and jewelry maker at our store. She designs and makes each piece by hand and with love. She believes jewelry should not only be beautiful and well-made, but sustainable—recycled and reclaimed metal and ethically sourced natural gems and diamonds are used whenever possible. Emi also believes in creating unique commitment and wedding bands to celebrate all kinds of love.

In our store, Emi's jewelry is known for being the perfect stacking ring or the perfect necklace to layer with. On Sunday 8/27, Emi will be bringing her entire collection so if you're looking for the right piece to complete your stack, need something sparkly for your new piercing or looking for a special gift, stop by Seldom Seen from 1-5pm and meet Emi!
